Busy Weekend

In addition to getting the gorgeous gladiolas at the local farmer's market, we had a busy and productive weekend! It was time to tackle the projects around the house that we've been ignoring...you know, the "not-so-fun" projects!
We washed windows and screens, cleaned the inside of the refrigerator, moved the refrigerator to clean behind it, and organized our FOUR junk drawers! None of the projects were particually fun but they weren't too bad either...maybe we won't wait five years before tackling them again.

Trip to Detroit Lakes

Paul and I went with Ryan to Detroit Lakes last week to stay with the Pender's. We had such a great time! I always enjoy my visits with Sara and it was fun to watch Paul and Isla play together. They got along really well and it was so nice to catch up with Sara who is expecting Baby #2 in just a few weeks!

We took the kiddos to storytime on Thursday morning and then a quick trip to the park. Storytime was really fun and I don't know why I've never taken Paul to the storytime Grand Rapids Library offers but I think I'll check it out! We had to keep our trip to the park brief because we met Mason at the DL Fire Hall during his lunch break. It was awesome to take Paul to see the different fire trucks and equipment. He had a blast! Thanks, Fireman Mason, for such a great and unexpected tour!

Amnicon Falls State Park

On our way home from Wisconsin Dells, we stopped at this state park just outside Superior. It turned out to be a really nice park/campground with some waterfalls. We were happy to stop and get out of the car for a bit! We had a picnic lunch and then went exploring for a short time. What a great way to end a super trip!

And we're off! Paul was REALLY excited for our trip to the "water park" (Wisconsin Dells)!
We had a great time on our family trip to Wisconsin Dells! It was an awesome trip filled with many activities, laughs, and good old family fun!

Here's a little rundown of some of our many activities:

  • Having a great time at Noah's Ark ( a huge water park)
  • Visiting the Ringling Brothers Circus Museum
  • Enjoying the beautiful house we rented
  • Playing with cousins/aunties/uncles, etc.
  • Fun games of Farkel and Sliders

More pictures to come, I promise!
